“Get Back in the Fight”
By Dianne Prince
“Fight the good fight of faith.” — 1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV)
Life is an uphill journey, and to keep moving forward, we must be willing to fight the good fight of faith every day until the very end.
Jesus never said that each day would be filled with sunshine. He made it clear that storms will come. There will be moments when it feels as if we cannot go on. But those moments are not the time, nor the place, to give in to what is truly a temporary situation.
When life knocks us down, what matters most is not how often we fall, but how often we rise. Life is not about winning all the time; it is about learning how to respond to defeat. The true test of our faith is found in how we handle unexpected disruptions and how we recover from setbacks.
There will be times when you must lift yourself up after stumbling. There will be moments when you feel as though you are clawing your way out of a deep valley. At times, the only option will be to crawl forward, inch by inch, until you reach level ground.
Be encouraged: there is blessing in the wilderness. There is reward for those who endure with patience. And there is victory for those who do not give up. So, when you fall, rise again. When you are hurt, love again. When hope fades, believe again. And when faith wavers, trust again.
God is faithful. His Word is true. He is not finished with you. So, rise up, step back into the fight, and show Him your faith.
You are not alone. Keep pressing forward. The victory is ahead.
