Divine Interruption
By Dianne Prince
“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” – Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)
God is not bound by our calendars, routines, or expectations. Throughout Scripture and in our daily lives, He interrupts the ordinary to accomplish the extraordinary. His divine interruptions are never random; they are purposeful shifts, often unseen in the moment but clear in hindsight.
Abraham raised the knife over Isaac, but God called out just in time. Saul was determined to persecute Christians, but a blinding light on the road to Damascus changed his destiny. These were not delays or disruptions—they were divine redirections.
God still works this way today. A surgery gets rescheduled, only to ensure you get the most highly skilled surgeon just in time. A missed flight leads to a life-changing conversation. A job rejection opens the door to a far greater opportunity. What feels like inconvenience may be God placing you on holy ground.
When plans fall apart or sudden changes arise, ask the Lord, “Is this You?” He may be rerouting you for protection, provision, or purpose. Trust that His timing is always perfect, and His interruptions are always intentional.
