“God Protects and Delivers”

By Dianne Prince

“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.” – Psalm 34:7 (NKJV)

Our lives are full of unseen dangers and unexpected threats. But because we trust in the Lord, we are always guarded. God’s protection is not always visible, but it is always present.  His Word assures us that He surrounds us like a shield.

Think of that car accident that almost happened—but did not. That job offer that fell through—only to reveal later it would not have ended well for you. That child who wandered off but was later found safe. These are not lucky escapes. They are moments of divine protection.

In 2 Kings 6, Elisha’s servant feared the enemy army surrounding them. But when God opened his eyes, he saw the hills filled with heavenly horses and chariots of fire. What seemed like defeat was actually God’s invisible hand at work, defending His people from hurt, harm and danger.

We all know that God does not promise us a life free of trouble, but He does promise His presence and His deliverance. Sometimes He shields you from the storm, and other times He walks with you through it. Either way, you can walk without fear. You are never alone because He is always with you making a way when there appears to be no way, protecting you when you do not realize you need to be protected, and providing for you before you know you have a need.
