Keep Knocking
By Dianne Prince
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7, KJV).
We are all waiting for a door to open in one area of life or another. Some wait for answers, others for a job, better health, the return of wayward children, or the reconciliation of loved ones to God. Still others wait for rest, relief, contentment, prosperity, or a new beginning.
In today’s scripture, God assures us that when we ask, He will answer. When we seek, we will find. And when we persist in knocking, He Himself will open the right doors. He closes what must remain shut, and He opens what no one can keep closed.
Take heart if you are waiting for a breakthrough. As you follow Him, God will move on your behalf. He will create paths through barriers, lift burdens that weigh you down, and free you from obstacles that hold you back.
Here is your reminder today: If you feel at a standstill, waiting for a door to open, do not give up. Keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking. When one door closes, do not linger in disappointment—step forward to the next. Continue pressing on, for in due time the right door will open. And when it does, you will step into the relief, restoration, and blessings that God has prepared just for you.
