God is My Supply
By Dianne Prince
“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1, KJV).
This morning’s scripture reassures us that as we obey God’s Word, He promises we will not lack anything. Times may be hard, but we are still standing. Situations may seem impossible, but God is sustaining us through each one. It may appear that we won’t make it, but God continues to work things out one day at a time.
Like a good shepherd caring for His sheep, God looks after each of us individually. He knows your name, where you live, what your day holds, and how much fight you have left. When you have nothing left to fight with, God steps in and becomes whatever you need. When your strength runs out, His strength takes over and carries you through.
Be reminded today that God’s Word promises you “shall not want.” If you are unsure about a personal situation, ask God to lead you. He will guide you quietly through the obstacles of the day with His powerful hand.
If you’re worried about what others may do against you, ask God for protection. He will shield you from unseen dangers and reveal who is for you and who is against you.
If you seek peace of mind, simply ask Him. If you need reassurance that He is handling a problem, ask for His assurance. And if you find yourself doubting God’s power, ask Him to increase your faith and renew your hope.
Today, talk to God about what you need, then continue with your day as if it is already done. And remember, if God doesn’t immediately meet a need when you ask, it’s because you don’t need it yet.
