Faith Beyond What You See

By Dianne Prince

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family” (Hebrews 11:6-7, NKJV).

Noah had never seen rain, a flood, or an ark, yet he acted in faith and followed God’s instructions. Because of his faith, Noah was delivered from the devastation of the flood. Like Noah, God delivers us when we obey His Word without hesitation. He hears and answers every prayer we bring before Him when we boldly believe.

Today’s scripture challenges us to push past unbelief, overcome doubt, and trust that God will do what He has promised.

By faith, believe that God will save your lost loved ones, restore backslidden children, and resolve the difficult issues in your life. Believe that He will cancel debt, heal diseases, repair broken bodies, and bring wholeness. Trust that God will soften hardened hearts, deliver children from harmful relationships, and set every matter in order.

You may not see evidence of God’s work, but do not lose hope. You may not hear good news from the doctors, but do not base your life on their report. Even when things seem unchanged, hold fast to faith. Believe that God is who He says He is, and that He will fulfill His promises. Stand firm, wait patiently, pray continually, seek Him diligently, and persevere in faith until God brings the breakthrough.

Hold onto this today: Faith is not built on what you see, but on who God is.
