“Wait”
By Dianne Prince
“Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD” (Psalm 27:14, KJV).
The word for today is “WAIT.” Have the courage to wait when you are unsure what to do about a situation. Wait when your mind insists you must act, and wait when others warn, “You are going to miss an opportunity.” Wait when an answer seems easy but compromise whispers its appeal. Wait when uncertainty surrounds you, and wait when you face something that feels overwhelming.
When you know Jesus, there is no reason to move simply because you feel pressured or uncertain, and no reason to react because others urge you to. If you are at a decision point and do not know which road to take, stand still and ask God. Many deadlines are not from Him—they are man-made or self-imposed.
Today, wait before speaking. Wait before reacting. Wait before deciding. Do not yield to pressure from others or from within. There is no need to act out of fear or impatience. Instead, wait until God gives clear direction. He will provide the inner strength to stand still, and when the time is right, He will make your path unmistakably clear.
Be of good courage—God is never late, and His timing is always perfect. Wait on the Lord, and He will strengthen your heart.
