“Trusting God’s Unseen Hand”

By Dianne Prince

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10, NIV)

There are many things in life that we will never fully understand. When events beyond our control unfold, the best thing we can do is pray, submit to God’s will, go with the flow, and trust that He is working all things together for our good.

We must trust God when we have done everything we can to care for ourselves, yet we still face an unexpected illness.

We must trust God when we are doing our best to make ends meet—tithing from every paycheck, giving at every opportunity—yet we still find ourselves living from paycheck to paycheck, sometimes struggling to make it through the week.

We must trust God when we feel pressured on every side, hemmed in at every turn, and overwhelmed by one situation after another.

We must trust God when we have dedicated our time and energy to caring for a sick loved one, only to have a second family member fall ill at the same time.

We must trust God when we have searched tirelessly for a job to no avail, and when we have pleaded with a young adult loved one about their choices, yet they still choose to go her own way.

The reminder for you today is this: Even when you do not see it, God is always at work in your life. He sees what lies ahead. He has already made provisions for what you need to get through the day. Even when a situation appears hopeless, God is working. You may not see it. You may not hear it. But He is quietly working on your behalf—putting plans in motion, positioning people in the right place, and orchestrating circumstances beyond your awareness.

And at God’s appointed time, things will fall into place. Issues will be resolved. Answers will come. Lives will change for the better.

Remember this today: Before you even try to figure it out, God has already worked it out.
