“Believe What God Said

By Dianne Prince

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.”
— Hebrews 11:6–7 (NKJV)

Noah had never seen rain. He had never seen a flood. Yet he obeyed God and built the ark exactly as he was instructed. Because of his faith, Noah and his family were delivered from the devastation of the flood.

Like Noah, we are called to trust God even when we cannot see what He is doing. Faith requires obedience before the evidence appears.

Today’s Scripture challenges us to move beyond unbelief and push through doubt. Believe that God will save your unsaved loved ones. Believe that He will restore backslidden teenagers and young children and bring peace to troubled minds. Believe that He will remove the desire for drugs from the lives of those bound by addiction.

Believe that God can resolve the complex problems in your life. Believe that He can cancel debt, soften hardened hearts, and redirect relationships that are moving in the wrong direction. Believe that He can bring healing to bodies and restoration to families.

You may not always see evidence of progress. You may not always hear encouraging reports. You may not always feel hopeful. Still, stand firmly on God’s promises.

Wait patiently. Pray without ceasing. Diligently seek Him. Believe and persevere until God moves.

Carry this with you today: Faith believes God before the miracle happens.

Option: Believe what God has said and trust Him to accomplish what only He can do.
