“Unshakable Help”

By Dianne Prince

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’ So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me'” (Hebrews 13:5-6, NIV)?

Life often tempts us to grasp for more—more money, more things and more control. But today’s scripture reminds us that true peace does not come from our possessions or circumstances. It comes from the presence of God. The promise that He will never leave or forsake us is the foundation for fearless living.

When we cling to God’s faithfulness, we can let go of worry. When the world says we need more to feel safe, God says, “I am enough.” His presence provides security. His love brings contentment, and His help empowers us to face any challenge with boldness.

We can say with confidence today: “The Lord is my helper!” That is not wishful thinking. That is a testimony grounded in our past experiences with God.

No matter how bleak circumstances look, and no matter what others may say or do, you are never alone. God stands beside you, ready to help, strengthen, and lead you. He is always near and He will never walk away.
