“Timing Is Everything”

By Dianne Prince

God has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11, NIV).

God does things in order, and He does them in His own time. When He created the world, He had the power to create everything at once, but He chose to take His time, meticulously creating more each day, building upon what He had created the day before. The result was a perfect world in perfect order.

In the same way, God takes His time to systematically mold our character and precisely shape the events in our lives. We are all waiting to be delivered from something, either for ourselves or our loved ones. Some are waiting for their loved ones to consistently walk with God, others for a spouse to be saved, and many for God’s purpose to be manifested, health to improve, or doors to open in specific areas of their lives.

If you are waiting for God to change something in your life, keep leaning on scripture for strength and sending up prayers for endurance. Know that while you are waiting, God is taking His time to build a beautiful end to your story—one step at a time.

The reminder for today is this: Deliverance is usually a process, and any process takes time. Deliverance often comes in baby steps—a little improvement here, a little change there. As you wait on God to put things in order in your life or the lives of your family members, remember that when your appointed time for deliverance comes, it will not be half-baked. You will be delivered completely and perfectly because God always makes everything beautiful in its time.
