“Ask Boldly”
By Dianne Prince
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” — Hebrews 4:16, NKJV
There are times when we hesitate to ask God for what we need because we think our problem is too small to matter. At other times, we limit Him because we believe our situation is too big to change. Whether it is the anxiety that weighs heavily on your heart or something as simple as finding a parking space, never forget that we serve the all-powerful God. He knows everything. He is everywhere at the same time. And He has all power. Nothing is beyond His authority, and nothing is beneath His attention.
No matter how impossible or insignificant your situation may seem, God wants to hear from you. He invites you to seek His wisdom, His direction, and His help. Yes, He already knows what you need, but asking in faith is our way of declaring that we trust Him completely and depend upon Him alone.
Here is your reminder today: When you boldly seek God, He will answer. Sometimes He says yes. Sometimes He says no. Sometimes He says not yet.
When His answer is no, trust that He is protecting you or preparing something better. Rest in His wisdom, even when the waiting is uncomfortable or the disappointment is painful.
When His answer is not yet, remember that God is arranging circumstances and positioning people who will play a part in His perfect plan for your life. Keep praying. Do not surrender to impatience. Instead, praise Him in advance, for praise strengthens your faith while you wait.
Whatever uncertainty you face today, bring it boldly before the Lord. There is nothing too small for His care and nothing too great for His power.
Ask boldly. Trust completely. Watch God move.
