“Get Up and Try Again”

“Moreover you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Will they fall and not rise? Will one turn away and not return?”’” — Jeremiah 8:4 (NKJV)
The backdrop of Jeremiah 8 is one of deep sorrow and national rebellion. The people of Judah had persistently turned away from God, rejecting His correction and choosing their own paths. Through the prophet Jeremiah, God pleads with them—not with condemnation, but with a question full of hope: If someone falls, will they not rise again? The implication is clear. Though they had fallen, they still had the opportunity to rise.
This is the heartbeat of God’s grace. Failure is not the end of your story. A spiritual fall, a moment of weakness, or even a season of drifting does not disqualify you from God’s love or calling. The Lord invites you to return, to rise, to be restored. Like a loving Father, He longs to lift you up, not push you away.
Everyone stumbles. The real tragedy is not in the falling, but in refusing to get back up. God’s question to Judah echoes to you today: Will you rise again? Say yes. Let today be a new beginning, a holy turnaround.
