“Choose Truth Over Temptation”

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world” (1 John 2:16).
Temptation is everywhere—some are tempted to cut corners at work, some are tempted to chase after money or status, others are tempted to engage in unhealthy relationships, and still others are tempted to measure themselves against other people. Temptation is subtle and it is something every one of us faces every day. But the Bible shows us how to stand strong. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, the devil tried to tempt Him with three things: He appealed to His flesh with food, to His pride with a display of power, and to His eyes with the offer of all the kingdoms of the world.
In the same way, the enemy tempts us today. What looks good, what feels good, or what makes us look good in the eyes of others can all be traps. But each time, Jesus answered the temptation with the Word of God, saying, “It is written.” And the devil left Him.
Here is your reminder for today: You do not face temptation alone. God has armed you with His Word and filled you with His Spirit so that you can resist every scheme of the enemy. Each moment you choose God’s truth over the enemy’s lies, your faith deepens and your strength increases. Victory is certain—it is assured through Christ. So lean on His promises, walk in His power, and remember this: the battle may be fierce, but through Christ, your victory is already won.
