“The Joy of a New Day”

“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (NKJV)
Every morning, God gives us a gift—the gift of a brand-new day. It is a reminder that His mercies are new every morning and that His grace is still active in our lives. No matter what yesterday held—disappointments, delays, or discouragement—today holds new possibilities. God has already gone before you, preparing opportunities, solutions, and strength for everything you will face.
Sometimes we wake up feeling weary, unsure, or burdened by what lies ahead. But when we pause to remember that this day belongs to the Lord, our perspective begins to shift. We realize that He is not asking us to carry the whole week, just to trust Him for today. When we start our day rejoicing in Him, we set the tone for victory.
So as you move through this day, do it with expectancy. Choose joy. Look for God’s hand at work in the details. Speak words that bring life and encouragement to others. Let your gratitude become your strength.
