“Faith to Believe God”

By Dianne Prince

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family” (Hebrews 11:6-7, NKJV).

Noah had never seen rain. He had never seen a flood. He had never seen an arc, but he acted in faith and built the arc according to God’s instructions. And because of His faith, Noah was rewarded by being delivered from the devastation of the flood. Like Noah, God delivers us when we blindly obey His Word. He delivers us when we boldly stand and believe that He hears and will answer every prayer we present before Him.

Today’s scripture challenges us to push past our negative thoughts of unbelief. It challenges us to work through our doubt and believe that God will deliver us what He promises.

The reminder for you today is this: by faith, believe that God will save your lost loved ones. Believe that he will restore backslidden children and that He will work out that complex problem in your life. Believe today that God will cancel debt, that he will cure heart disease, respiratory problems, malfunctioning kidneys, damaged blood vessels and all forms of cancer. Believe today that God will change the heart and soften the words of that abrasive loved one you are caring for. Believe that he will deliver that son or that daughter from that unhealthy relationship and believe that he will straighten out that issue that needs to go in a different direction.

You will not always see any evidence of God’s progress, but do not lose hope. You will not always hear anything good coming from the doctors, but don’t plan your life based on the doctor’s report. You may not always feel that things will get any better but press past your feelings and believe that God is who He says He is and believe that He will fulfill His promises.

Stand firm, wait patiently, pray without ceasing, seek Him diligently, and persevere in faith until God brings your breakthrough.
