“Better Than Life”

Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. — Psalm 63:3 (NKJV)
Today, we praise God for life itself. It is through Him that we exist, and it is through Him that all things are held together. When we strain to figure out how a need will be met, what to do about a situation beyond our control, or how to respond to an unexpected attack, we must remember this truth: God is responsible for our very lives. His loving-kindness is better than life itself. It is greater than our efforts and more powerful than any solution we could create on our own.
Perhaps today you are facing something bigger than you. You may be waiting for God to free a loved one from a stronghold. You may be trying to gather enough money to cover rent or a mortgage. You may be caring for an adult loved one who struggles with mental illness, or raising grandchildren because no one else is able to step in. Your situation may be heavy, and the answers may feel far away.
Whatever your story, take time today to remember what God has already brought you through. Praise Him for the victories, both great and small. He has carried many pf us through the grief of losing someone dear. He has sustained others through serious illness, financial strain, and seasons of deep uncertainty. No matter the trial, God has always been faithful. He has preserved you every time.
Because His loving-kindness never fails, He will carry you through this season as well. Rest in His promises. Fill your atmosphere with His Word. Praise Him for holding your life together.
