“Daily Conversation and Praise”

By Dianne Prince

“Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice” (Psalm 55:17, KJV).

There is always something to talk to God about. As we take inventory of our surroundings this morning, everything is playing out just as God ordered, everyone is accounted for, and we are safe with sound minds. That alone is enough reason to praise God.

The most important thing to thank God for in the morning is the relationship we enjoy with Him. He was our Father when we fell asleep last night and remains our Father as we wake up this morning. Because we are in a covenant relationship with Him, He is committed to delivering on all the promises He made to us. He will keep His commitments and fight on our behalf.

Morning is the perfect time to thank God for who He is and to lay all our concerns at Jesus’ feet. His role is to take our burdens and carry them for us—not with us, but for us.

At noon, if a nagging concern persists, we can simply mention it to God, and He will soothe our thoughts and calm our spirits.

In the evening, as we reflect on the day, we can thank God for keeping us even when we didn’t realize we needed it, for restraining us when we were on the verge of saying the wrong thing, and for holding time still when we needed more of it.

The encouragement for you this morning is that with God, nothing is too insignificant to bring to Him. Like a parent-child relationship, God wants to be involved in every aspect, every decision, every disappointment, and every joyful moment of your day. He wants to hear from you often and about everything. So, make a deliberate effort today to talk to Him in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. God is listening for your voice, and He is waiting to hear from you.
