“God Knows Best”

“As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things” (Ecclesiastes 11:5, NIV).
God is full of surprises that baffle our human understanding. Just as we cannot fully trace the wind’s path or comprehend the intricacies of how a baby is formed in a mother’s womb, God’s ways often defy human logic. Yet, He is always at work, orchestrating events for His glory and for our good.
I am reminded of the story of David and Goliath. To the human eye, David—a young shepherd armed with a slingshot and five smooth stones—was no match for the giant, battle-hardened Goliath. All bets were on Goliath. But God saw things differently. Against all odds, God used David’s bravery and His faith to defeat Goliath and bring victory to Israel.
In the same way, God often works in ways that seem unlikely or incomprehensible to us. Just as He equipped David to triumph over Goliath, God empowers us to face our own giants. He empowers us to trust Him when our future seems unclear. Trust that He is working in that wayward child’s life when we cannot see the fruits of our teaching and nurturing efforts. Trust Him through that health crisis, that financial setback, that legal situation, that relationship struggle, and trust Him to deal with those people who are coming against you.
Your reminder for today is this: God always knows best. He operates on a higher plane of wisdom than you do. You can never predict what direction He will take your situation in. You never know what He will do next, who he will use, how or when He will fix things. So, make up in your mind to surrender to His wisdom even when you cannot see any evidence of Him at work. Know that He is the Maker of all things and works in ways far beyond your understanding. His plans are always perfect, and His power is always limitless.
