“God Knows the End from the Beginning”
By Dianne Prince
“I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning. My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please” (Isaiah 46:9–10, NIV).
Following human advice can sometimes keep us from reaching our full potential, cause us to lose sight of who we are in Christ, and lead us to make decisions outside of God’s will. There is nothing wrong with seeking counsel from a trusted advisor, but human advice must always be kept in perspective. People change their minds, offer conflicting directions, and cannot predict the future. Man sees only the present, but God sees the end from the beginning.
Today’s scripture reminds us that God alone is worthy of our dependence for daily guidance. He alone knows how things will unfold, and He alone holds the plan for our lives. No matter how much we try to control outcomes, in the end, God will do what He pleases, in His way, and in His time.
The reminder for you today is this: the answer to everything that concerns you is in God’s hands. Only God knows the future, and only He sees all things. As challenges arise, slow down, seek His direction step by step, and follow His plan. Trust His process. Cooperate with His delays. Remember, your job is not to solve every problem, but to trust God to fulfill His promises. He will always guide you to His desired end, for He has already determined His purpose, and His purpose will stand.
