“God Sees You”

By Dianne Prince

“He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber” (Psalm 121:3, NIV).

The Psalmist reassures us that God is active during the day, silently and meticulously working on our behalf. He is also up all night, every night, on His post, working things out while we sleep. His angels are stationed at every corner of our dwellings, standing guard to protect us and everything about us. While we sleep, God’s angels intercept the devil’s attempts to harm us. Nothing can reach us without passing by God first, and nothing can pass Him unless He allows it.

Know today that God only allows things that are part of His plan to develop us into stronger and more influential servants for Him. The uncertainty of the day, difficulties in finding a decent job, concerns about loved ones’ moral and social choices, mental illness disrupting family relationships, financial problems, and stubborn illnesses—all these must go past God before reaching us.

Today, rest assured that whatever life brings to your door, regardless of how painful, disruptive, uncomfortable, or uncertain, is part of a bigger picture God has in mind for you. If God allows it, you can handle it.

Take this with you today: Never give in to your circumstances and never give up hope for a better time. God is watching over you day and night. When you seem to be slipping into a place of no return, God comes through and holds you steady. When your back is against the wall, God shows up just in time and makes a way. While you sleep and while you are awake, the Lord is watching over you, fighting your battles, covering you from top to bottom and on every side. “He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber” (Psalm 121:3, NIV).
