“God’s Got This”

By Dianne Prince

“In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.”—Job 12:10

When you tell someone, “I have got this,” you are assuring them there is no need to worry, no need to intervene—it is as good as done.

“I have got this” means everything is under control. It offers confidence and peace, signaling that the situation is already being handled.

So often, the actions of others weigh us down. The pressure of work, the chaos around us, and even our own worries can disturb our peace. But what if, in every challenging moment, we replaced anxiety with the truth: “God has got this”?

Every promise in God’s Word is essentially Him saying, “I have got this.” And in Job 12:10, He reminds us why we can trust Him: “In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.”

That means no one around you can move, act, or even speak unless God allows it. Whether someone moves for you or against you, whether their words are kind or cruel, nothing reaches you without first passing through His sovereign hands.

So here is your encouragement: Do not live today based on what you see, what you hear, or what others are doing. Live today grounded in the truth of who is in control. What you see is not the end of the story. What you hear is not the final word.

Whatever today brings, declare with boldness: “God has got this.” And keep moving forward—because the One who holds your breath also holds your future.
