“God’s Got You”

By Dianne Prince

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive” (Genesis 50:20).

Today’s scripture is a powerful reminder that God controls all things—nature, nations, circumstances, jobs, illnesses, and every event in our lives.

Jesus reminds us that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without the Father’s knowledge. If He watches over the birds of the air, how much more will He care for you? He knows your smallest need and will meet it in His perfect time and way.

In Genesis 50:20, Joseph reassures his brothers, who feared he might retaliate against them for selling him into slavery. Instead of vengeance, he told them though they intended harm, God used their evil for good—to save many lives.

In the same way, every moment in your life has divine timing and intention. God takes every good event and every challenging incident you experience and mixes them together to accomplish His objective for your life.

You are never at the mercy of people or circumstances. Therefore, when life goes off the rails, all is not lost. Rise to the challenge and do what you can. When you have done everything within your power and nothing seems to change, trust God with the outcome. Your life will never be too complicated for Him to manage, and no problem is ever too great for Him to solve.

Today, choose to trust the God who works all things together for your good. Even when you cannot see the whole picture, rest in the assurance that His plan is unfolding—beautifully, purposefully, and always in your favor. Keep walking forward in faith. Why? Because God’s got you.
