“Guided to What Is Best”

By Dianne Prince

“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.’” — Isaiah 48:17 (NKJV)

God is not only our Redeemer—He is our constant, compassionate Guide. In Isaiah 48:17, He reminds us that He teaches us to profit. This is not limited to financial gain. It includes spiritual growth, emotional healing, wise decisions, and fulfilling relationships. He knows how to lead us to what truly matters.

Imagine being lost in a city you have never visited. You have no GPS, map or guide. Every turn is uncertain. Anxiety builds with each wrong direction. Then, suddenly, a local person steps in—someone who knows every street and shortcut—and offers to guide you. Relief sets in, because now you are not alone. You are being led by someone who knows the way.

That is exactly what God does for us. He does not just guide us in the big, life-changing moments. He is present in our daily steps, our quiet thoughts, our simple decisions. Whether you are facing a choice about your health, your career, your relationships, or your next steps, God already sees the outcome. He wants to lead you to what is best—not just what is good, but what is best.

He speaks through His Word, through the wise voices around you, and often through a gentle nudge in your spirit. Listen for Him. He will never lead you astray.

When you follow His direction, you will discover peace instead of pressure, purpose instead of confusion, and provision instead of scarcity. His way is higher. His wisdom is sure. And His love never leads you wrong.
