Let God Take the Lead

By Dianne Prince

“The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” — Exodus 14:14 (NKJV)

Today’s scripture is a powerful word of encouragement for anyone walking through a difficult season. It reminds us that, like a loving Father, God fights for His children. He fights for the widows and the fatherless, for the married and the single, for the strong in faith and for those whose faith is wavering. He fights for the weary, the hopeless, the lonely, the sick, and the confused.

God also fights for those who are simply tired of fighting. He stands ready for the one whispering, “I give up,” for the one saying, “I have nothing left,” and for the one who does not know what to do next.

We are called to release our battles into the hands of the Lord. When we surrender them, He steps in to take over the fight—not only ours but also the battles of our loved ones when we entrust them to Him.

Here is your reminder today: God will not fight what you refuse to let go of. He will not move while you are still trying to manage it yourself. Make a deliberate decision to give your struggles, frustrations, hurts, and deepest concerns to Him through prayer. Once you release them, resist the urge to pick them up again.

Move forward in peace, knowing that the hand of God rests upon you, that He is in your corner, and that He never runs out of ways to provide for you. He will not walk away. He will not disappoint you.

Be still. Let God take the lead and watch Him turn your battle into victory.
