The family of 2-year-old Aleya-We ask the Lord to cover the entire family with His deepest compassion, keep them grounded in Him and soothe their broken heart. – Psalm 94:18-19 When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.
Our unsaved loved ones-We continue to pray for the Lord to transform their heart and change their lifestyle to one that aligns with God’s Word. We pray for their safety, health and wisdom. – Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. (2 Thessalonians 3:16)
Strong-willed teenagers and young adults-We ask God to channel their determination into God’s purpose, turn their stubbornness into a willingness to obey their parents, and teach them to yield their steadfast spirit to the will of God. We also pray for patience and endurance for their parents and for them to remain hopeful and in faith. – Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring.
Those who need to be renewed, delivered or made whole.-We intercede for God to step in and grant peace, restore energy and fill their atmosphere with joy. – The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11).
Those who are worried about the outcome of a situation-We ask the Lord to replace worry and concern with His calming peace. – Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6: 31-33
Those with chronic pain-We make an earnest appeal to God to regulate breathing, heart rhythms, and back and joint pain. We ask Him to grant pain free days. – Job 8:7 Thou pain your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly.
Victims and families of the shooting near FAMU campus-We lift them for comfort and healing. We bind guns from evil hands, evil minds and from the reach of those who have depraved minds. – Psalm 33:5 He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deeps in storehouses.
Everyone on the call this morning-We pray for a double portion of God’s peace, guidance and insight to rest upon you. – Hebrews 6:19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
