‘Peace for Today”
By Dianne Prince
What if everything you needed for today was already within reach—quietly provided, gently guided, and faithfully sustained?
Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” We often underestimate the power of this single verse. Because God is your Shepherd, He supplies everything you need. His desire is that you lack nothing. He is committed to leading you gently and guiding you through every challenge this day may bring.
At any moment today, God can quietly provide exactly what you need—simply for the asking. His promise is clear: you shall not want. Years ago, when my husband passed, I needed peace just to face each day and make funeral arrangements. My prayer was simple: “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. Lord, I need peace.” And He answered. He gave me a peace beyond expectation, placing me in a calm I could not have created on my own. That prayer can still dry tears, ease the mind, and restore hope.
If something weighs heavily on you today, ask God for peace, and He will steady your heart. If doubt creeps in, ask Him to strengthen your faith and renew your hope.
Carry this with you: your Shepherd is already present, already providing—so walk forward today knowing you are never without what you truly need.
