“Rejoice”
By Dianne Prince
“You will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” — Isaiah 55:12 (NKJV)
As we journey through life, our hearts should be filled with anticipation—not fear. Why? Because God’s promises do more than provide and protect. They are meant to bring us joy. True joy is rooted in knowing that God is faithful, that His Word will not return void, and that His plan for our lives is already unfolding.
The imagery in today’s scripture is breathtaking—mountains singing, trees clapping, creation itself rejoicing over God’s faithfulness. How much more should we respond with gladness as we reflect on the fulfillment of God’s greatest promise: Jesus, the Savior of the world.
Remember this today: your joy is not dependent on your circumstances. It flows from faith in the God who holds all power, knows all things, and is present everywhere. Even in uncertainty, in seasons of waiting, and in the midst of challenges, we can choose to rejoice because God is moving and His plans cannot fail.
Rejoice today. Let every task you complete, every decoration you hang, and every preparation you make for the Christmas season remind you that God’s promises are real and Jesus is alive. Let your heart clap, let your spirit sing, and let your soul celebrate the birth of our Savior.
