The family of Sister Irene Hunter of Trenton, NJ. -She passed away Thursday at her son, Billy’s home in Atlanta. We lift the family, friends, and church members for comfort and unity as they make homegoing arrangements. – Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Ivan S, the Son of Sister Ruthie S. -He is hospitalized with a severe illness. We pray for him to be healed and for his mother to be strengthened. – Psalm 118:17 I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord.

Those striving to maintain a Christ-Centered household-We ask the Lord to give you wisdom in all spiritual matters and draw those in your household closer to Jesus. We pray everyone in your home will be saved and consistently walk in the ways of God. – Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

Young adults who are contemplating marriage-We pray God reveals the hearts and motives of potential spouses and that He grants discernment and godly wisdom. – Matthew 7:24-24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock…”

Those getting ready for school  -As students, teachers, staff, and families prepare for a new school year, we pray for the Lord to grant them wisdom, courage, protection, and a heart that seeks God in all they do. – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. — Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV)

Those Being Bullied-We pray for God’s shield of defense to surround our children and keep them safe from hurtful words and harmful actions. We ask God to give our children the guidance and the protection they need to handle the bullying they are faced with in a way that is safe and effective. – “A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered.” Proverbs 17:27 (NLT)

The political climate-We pray for the political climate to calm down and be replaced with decency and the peace of God. – Proverbs 17:27 Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.

Those traveling today and this weekend-We ask God to keep you covered and protect you as you go and come. – Psalm 121:8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
