“Trusting God in Every Choice”

By Dianne Prince

Scripture reminds us that God desires to guide His children in all things. Proverbs 3:5–6 declares, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” This invitation is not limited to life altering moments. It reaches into ordinary hours, quiet thoughts, and seemingly small decisions.

Often we seek God only when choices feel heavy or urgent. Yet the Lord cares about each step we take. When we pause to consult Him about conversations, schedules, purchases, and responses, we invite His wisdom into the details that shape our days. Little decisions repeated over time form habits, character, and direction.

Jesus Himself said, “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much” (Luke 16:10, NKJV). Faithfulness grows when we practice dependence daily. Prayer before small choices trains our hearts to listen, trust, and obey.

Today, slow your pace. Ask the Lord before you speak, act, or decide. Invite Him into moments others may overlook. As you acknowledge Him continually, you will find peace replacing pressure and clarity replacing confusion. God delights in leading willing hearts, and He promises direction to those who seek Him. Walk closely with Him, and let every decision filter through His all-knowing hands.
