“Standing Firm in Shaky Times”

By Dianne Prince

“We have this hope [Jesus] as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” (Hebrews 6:19).

There are times when you have done your best—given all you had, tried with all your might, and worked as hard as you could—only to watch everything fall apart. Just when you think you’ve reached your lowest point, another blow comes and knocks you down even further.

Know this: the more faithful and committed you are to Christ, the more you may face opposition. The enemy sees your pursuit of God and seeks to discourage and distract you.

When circumstances beyond your control pull you deeper into struggle, do not rely on your own strength. You are not meant to carry it alone. Jesus alone can lead you through what you cannot fix or understand.

When the enemy is active, Jesus is the answer. He restores what’s broken, makes a way where none exists, opens doors no one can shut, and meets needs no one else can fulfill.

Draw near to Him—praise Him, pray honestly, and trust Him fully. He will guide you, guard you, and give you peace.

Hold fast to your Anchor—He has never failed, and He never will.
