Strength for Today
By Dianne Prince
“As your days, so shall your strength be.” — Deuteronomy 33:25 (NKJV)
God does not ask us to live tomorrow today. He gives us strength for this moment—this day. When we start projecting our fears into the future, we can easily become overwhelmed. We wonder, “How will I handle what is coming?” But God promises that our strength will match our days. Not one ounce more than we need, and not one second too soon.
Like God provided manna in the wilderness, His provision comes daily. He does not give us a month’s worth of grace all at once. He expects us to come back each morning. The pressure to have everything figured out fades when we remember that God is faithful to meet us in real time.
Today may ask more of you than you feel you have to give. But whatever the day brings, God’s strength will meet you there. When you are running on empty, God will fill you. When you are weak, He will steady you. When you come to the end of yourself, you will find the beginning of God’s power. He is the source of everything you need and you can trust Him to carry you through–one day at a time.
