“Grace for the Willing”

By Dianne Prince

“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’”— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)

God has never asked us to be perfect. Instead, He asks us to be willing. Throughout Scripture, we see Him working through people who brought their honest selves before Him. Moses wrestled with doubt. Peter stumbled. Paul carried the weight of his past. Still, grace met each of them and slowly reshaped their lives.

So often, we struggle because we feel the need to not be honest with God about our weakness. Yet He already sees every part of us and still welcomes us to come close. When we confess our weakness instead of concealing it, grace has room to work. Grace does not overlook sin, but it patiently empowers us to grow and change.

When we come to God with honesty, He meets us with His mercy. He delights in shaping our hearts when we are open and teachable. Striving for perfection can feel heavy and exhausting, but surrender brings rest. It shifts the focus from proving ourselves to trusting God to do what only He can do.

Today, expose your whole heart before Him—nothing edited, nothing hidden. In that honest space, God works deeply to transform us. True transformation flows not from our performance, but from our transparent relationship with God.

God’s greatest work is often done not through our strength, but through our willingness to place our weakness in His hands.
