Angie-We ask God to continue to be her comfort and to help her navigate without her husband. – 2 Corin. 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (NIV)
Derrick-We pray for the Lord to cover him and equip him to advance on his job. We pray for him to stay humble and work to move God’s kingdom forward. – Colossians 1:28, “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” (NIV)
Marie-We ask God to protect her and her family and for her not to grow weary, but to be uplifted and surrounded by God’s presence. – James 4:7-8 So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time.
Those attending church today-We pray you are empowered, encouraged and strengthened by the Word. – Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
Those preaching and teaching today-We ask God to pour His spirit upon them and equip them with a direct Word from heaven. – Psalm 42:8 By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.
Those struggling with situations in their homes and with their family members-We ask God to relieve the stress in your home, give you confidence that things are changing for the better and for Him to instill contentment in your heart and mind. – Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. (Psalm 61:1-4)
Those feeling lonely-Pray for God to give you His peace, grant you the desires of your heart, bless you with favor and increase your faith. – Proverbs 3:4 So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man.
All those on the call this morning-We pray for spiritual consolation if you are hurting, a spirit of praise for God’s goodness, and for God to mend your health if your body is not it its best. – James 5:13-15 Are you hurting? Pray. Do you feel great? Sing. Are you sick? Call the church leaders together to pray and anoint you with oil in the name of the Master. Believing-prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you’ve sinned, you’ll be forgiven—healed inside and out.
