Talk to God About Everything
“Talk to God About Everything”
By Dianne Prince
“Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah” (Psalm 62:8 (NKJV).
In today’s scripture, David is filled with doubt, worry, and fear. Yet, as he pours his heart out to God, something remarkable happens. His situation remains the same, but his mindset shifts. His circumstances do not change, but his spirit finds peace. His enemies still pursue him, yet his soul is at rest.
Through prayer, David releases his doubt and fear simply by speaking with God.
Today, be honest with God in prayer. Share whatever is on your heart.
-
If you wonder whether He is working on your situation, tell Him.
-
If you doubt He will show up on time, admit it.
-
If you fear things will not turn out in your favor, express your concerns.
Tell God how you long for your loved one’s salvation. Share your worries about your child’s daily life choices. Confess your anxiety about an upcoming appointment. Talk to Him about your desire for a new job and the frustration of being unemployed. If your situation seems to be worsening instead of improving, let Him know your thoughts and feelings.
There is power in honesty with God. Each morning, bring your concerns to Him. He may not change your situation immediately, but He will send His angels to minister to you—calming your worries, strengthening your faith, and easing your doubts.
God’s ministering angels will meet you where you are, renewing your hope and giving you the endurance to wait for your change to come. As the song says, “Just a Little Talk with Jesus Will Make Things Right.”
