“Talk to God”
By Dianne Prince
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord” (Psalm 27:13-14, NKJV)!
In our scripture today, Jesus reminds us that there is power in being honest with God. From time to time, we will all find ourselves filled with doubt, worry and fear. However, as we pour out our heart to God, something within us shifts. Our circumstances may not change, but our mindset will. Our situation might remain the same, but our spirit will find peace. Even when our enemies are hot on our trail, and our normal routines are disrupted, our souls can be at rest.
Through talking with God, we are able to stir up our faith. We are able to purge ourselves of all the doubt and fear that has us bound. And we do so by simply talking with God about it.
Talk with God during your quiet time with Him. Talk with Him when you are driving, when you are in the grocery store line, when you are preparing dinner and talk with Him whenever and wherever you feel doubt, worry or fear taking over.
Your reminder for today is this: God is always ready to listen anytime you are ready to talk to Him. Today, through prayer, be honest with God. If you are wondering if He will deliver you, admit it to Him. If you are wondering if God will show up on time, tell God about your doubt. If you are fearful that a situation will not work out in your favor. Tell God your fears. If you are burdened about anything or if you feel your faith wavering, once you are honest with God, He will send his angels to minister to you. He will encourage you right where you are. And He will strengthen your faith and to give you the stamina you need to wait on Him.
