“The Path to Deliverance”

By Dianne Prince

“For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ THIS will turn out for my deliverance” (Philippians 1:19, NIV).

As we take inventory of everything that is going on around us, we can all agree that the need for prayer has never been greater. In the midst of our struggles to fight for our health, to keep our emotions steady, and to keep our spirits uplifted, the enemy consistently targets us. He sets out to destroy our homes, businesses, schools, property, health, finances and even our churches. The adversary strives to make us give up on God and he urges us to face life relying solely on our own strength.

Our job is to pray consistently and persistently in every situation and in every circumstance. Our job is to pray when it looks like God is moving. Pray when it looks like things are getting worse and pray when things are at a standstill. Why? It is through prayer that we summon all the forces of heaven to work on our behalf. Prayer is what moves the needle from chaos to order. Prayer is what transforms violence to peace. And prayer is what changes brokenness in our families to unity.

God promises that when we pray in faith, without wavering, and without changing our prayer when a door closes, we will not be defeated. When we pray the same prayer when it looks like we have lost the battle, God will give us victory. When we press in and keep praying the same prayer against all odds, we will have whatsoever we ask in Jesus name according to His will.

Commit today to dig in deep, stand firm without wavering, and pray daily until your deliverance comes.
