The Power of Obedience

By Dianne Prince

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” — Philippians 2:8 (NKJV)

The King of glory chose obedience. Jesus, the Son of God stepped into humanity, not with privilege, but with purpose. He did not cling to His power; He surrendered it for our sake.

Obedience is that quiet confidence that trusts God’s plan above our personal ambition. When Jesus bowed His will to the Father, He demonstrated that true greatness is found in obedience.

In a world that celebrates self-exaltation, obedience feels unnatural. Yet it is in yielding our will that God lifts us. When you choose patience over pride, service over status, and obedience over opinion, you walk in the footsteps of Christ.

Release the need to be seen, to be right, or to be first. Instead, follow God and trust that He sees, He knows, and He rewards.

When you choose to obey God, you position yourself for His greatest elevation.
