“The Purpose in the Process”
By Rev. Everett R. Kimble, Sr.
“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” — (Romans 5:3-5)
Life comes at you hard. And often before you know it you are caught up in another painful situation. Church was great on Sunday, you were energized by the message and you started your week determined to be a better you.
Things were going great and you were feeling good about how blessed you are to be a blessing because you had reached out to a few people along the way and then it happened. Right in the middle of you doing what you believed God wanted you to do the bottom fell out.
Struggle set in from all over the place and your good week turned into a horrible week just like that. You began to wonder what you had done and why was God punishing you. You began to wonder should you keep chasing a calling if things are not going to work out well for you, all kinds of bad thoughts are running through your head, but then then you remember Romans 5:3-5.
…but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
What you are experiencing now is just a part of your journey and the process. The process prepares you for your purpose. God chooses just the right moments to get your attention and teach you the lessons of His grace. Even in this He loves you and He knows just what you need. Look past the mess to find the message and keep you head up, it’s all for your good.
Have a blessed and beautiful Friday.
