“The Storm Will Pass”
By Dianne Prince
“The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock” (Matthew 7:25, NIV).
Trouble will come suddenly, and just as abruptly as it arrives, holding onto God will make it leave you alone. As swiftly as the issue arises, it will die down. When the dust settles, you will be left standing strong. Why? Because God held you steady and anchored you firmly to protect you from destruction.
In life, the rain will come down, the streams will rise, and the winds will blow and beat against your foundation. You may get battered, tossed around, but God promises that if you stand on His Word, you will not fall. Why? Because God is always at work on your behalf, with His hand in every aspect of your life, even in every disappointment, sickness, hurting heart, and misunderstanding life brings your way. He is quietly orchestrating circumstances, putting people in place to help with your deliverance, and gradually putting solutions in motion. As you lean on God and do not falter, the storm will pass, relief will come, and victory will prevail.
