“Trust the God Who Sees Ahead”

By Dianne Prince

Nahum 1:7 – “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.”

Living righteously does not exempt Christians from experiencing trouble. God allows the rain to fall on both the just and the unjust. Trials come to all of us—in the form of worry, depression, hopelessness, illness, loss, financial strain, or children who choose their own path.

We may not always understand why God acts as He does or why He permits certain things. But we do know this: God is sovereign. He knows what He is doing, and He has us completely covered—through and through.

Be encouraged today: when trouble comes, remember that while you can only see the present, God sees what lies ahead. He has already made provision for what you will need to get through it.

Let go of your own plans to fix everything and choose to trust God fully. If your faith feels weak, ask Him to help your unbelief. As you release your concerns to Him, He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding. And you can rest assured—He will take care of you as you trust in Him.
