The lady leaving for vacation today-We lift her for safety, protection and favor as she begins a month-long cross-country trip today. – Proverbs 3:23 You’ll travel safely, you’ll neither tire nor trip.
Those going through tough times-We ask God to give you the strength to endure with patience, the assurance that He is working things out, and peace in your spirit. – “The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace.” Psalm 29:11 (NLT)
Those needing a clear path forward-We ask God to grant them good judgment, clear insight, and detailed steps to move forward. – “Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (NIV 1984) Psalm 37:3-4
Those who have fallen away from Christian fellowship-We pray for a massive return to the fellowship of God’s people, for hearts to be open to Christ again, and for restoration of relationships. – Psalm 51:12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Those delivered from drugs-We pray God sustains their progress, restore to them all that was stripped from them, and grows them in His ways. – 1 Corin 10:13 ESV No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Those who are incarcerated-We ask for a personal encounter with Christ and protection through Him. – 2 Corin 7:1 Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
All those on the call this morning-We pray for you to be sensitive to God’s voice, obedient to His guidance, and for strength to meet the day head-on. – 1 Corin 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
