“Your Day Is in God’s Hands”
By Dianne Prince
“But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in Your hand” (Psalm 31:14-15, NIV).
The Psalmist declares that he will not waste time worrying about his problems. Instead, hour by hour, he chooses to trust God. Why? Because God can provide for our needs without necessarily solving the problem. He works around our challenges to meet our daily needs. In other words, the problem may remain, but our needs are still met.
Trusting God means boldly asking Him for what you want and waking up each day expecting that today could be the day He answers.
It means going about your daily routine, knowing that if God hasn’t answered yet, what you’re asking for isn’t needed to have a productive day.
Trusting God is living with the anticipation that tomorrow will be better than today and the assurance that tough times don’t last forever.
Here is today’s reminder: When you encounter a rough patch, trust God. Seek Him to restore your joy in situations that drain your hope. Look to Him for peace as you navigate a strained relationship. Lay your sickness at His feet as you pray for healing. Place your defiant children in His hands as they make unwise decisions. Lift your financial struggles to Him as you wait for a breakthrough.
Even when you don’t see it, God’s favor is resting on you. Even when you do not feel it, God’s hand is forever upholding you. Trust Him with your today and depend on Him for your tomorrow because every minute is in His hands.
