Sharonda of South Florida-Her son was hit by a car and is in ICU. He had surgery yesterday. We pray for the swelling from the fractured rib to go down so the breathing machine can be removed. And we pray for him to be healed by the powerful hand of God. – Psalm 107:20 He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Those with long-term issues from COVID-We intercede for healing from post-Covid-19 related complications. – Psalm 42:8 By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.

All those who are grieving deceased loved ones-We pray you fondly recall the good times, gain strength and joy from the memories, and are uplifted by the legacy left behind. – Isaiah 49:13 Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

Senior Adults having to give up their independent living-We pray for the transition to be embraced and for an extra dose of contentment to rest upon them. –  The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11).

Those impacted by the government shutdown-The U.S. government has been shut down for 25 days. We continue to pray for the Lord’s wisdom and intervention in this time of uncertainty, and that leaders would act with integrity and compassion for those affected by the shutdown. We also pray for God to bring peace, provision, and stability to every worker and family facing fear and financial strain. – Psalm 3:3-5 But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

Organizations dependent upon government contracts-We pray that funding does not dry up and for God to cover them with his unmerited favor. – 1 Peter 5:6-7 And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand by casting all your cares on him because he cares for you.

Ministry Workers and Volunteers-We pray for you to remain encouraged about the business of God and to remain dependable, consistent and willing. – “Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed – he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God.” (Hebrews 12:2 MSG)
