“Don’t Camp at Closed Doors”
By Dianne Prince
“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name” (Revelation 3:8).
When the children of Israel were hotly pursued by Pharaoh’s army, facing imminent death, God opened the Red Sea and miraculously built an interstate for the Israelites to pass through onto dry land. As quickly as God opened the Red Sea, He closed it once His children were safe, preventing the enemy from following.
God opens doors for us that no human can shut and closes doors that no one can open. Often, when God opens a door, fear may hold us back. However, if God opens a door for you, muster as much faith as you can and boldly walk through it—even if you tremble with fear. God ensures your success and guards the door against the enemy.
Conversely, when God closes a door, do not look back with regret or try to force it open. Move on to the next door and knock. The right door will remain open, and you’ll step into the blessing God has reserved for you. Remember, if a door abruptly shuts after being open for you, God closed it because a better, more prosperous door awaits.
If God opened it, walk through it—even shaking. If God closed it, don’t set up camp there—move on and knock again.
