“More Than Enough”
By Dianne Prince
“Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude.” —Luke 9:16 (NKJV)
There are times in life when what we hold in our hands feels painfully small. Maybe it is our strength, our faith, our finances, or our hope—and we look at it and think, This cannot possibly be enough.
But God does not need abundance to create abundance. He only asks us to place what we have in His hands.
When Jesus fed the multitude, the disciples saw only scarcity—five loaves and two fish. But Jesus saw possibility. He lifted that little offering to heaven, blessed it, and multiplied it until every person was satisfied, with baskets left over.
God is still doing that today. He takes the little we offer and breathes His power upon it. He takes weakness and turns it into strength. He takes lack and turns it into plenty. He takes impossibility and turns it into testimony.
So, if you feel that your supply is running low—your energy, your patience, your resources—remember this: God’s power is not limited by what you do not have. He can use even the smallest act of faith, the quietest prayer, or the simplest step of obedience to bring forth a miracle.
What matters most is not the size of your supply, but the strength of your God.
When you place your “not enough” in the hands of God, you will see that the little that you have multiplies and becomes more than enough.
