“God Sees You”

By Dianne Prince

“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

To quote Augustine, “God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.” In a world of billions of people, it is easy to believe we are overlooked—just another face in the crowd, just another story among many. Yet Today’s scripture declares something powerful: God’s love is directed toward us.

Notice how personal today’s Scripture is. It says Christ died for us. For you. For me. Not because we improved ourselves. Not because we earned a place in His affection. While we were still sinners—still wandering, still doubting, still failing—Christ died.

God’s love is not diluted by the size of the world. It is not stretched thin across generations. The same God who hung the stars knows your name, your fears, your private prayers whispered in the dark. He does not love you as part of a category. He loves you as His child.

The cross proves it. If you had been the only one in need of rescue, Christ would still have died. That is the measure of His love—personal, intentional, unwavering.

You are not lost in the crowd of humanity. You are known. And you are fiercely loved.

The God of all creation knows your name. He sees you. He hears you. And He loves you as if you were His only child.
