“Joy”
By Dianne Prince
“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you.” (John 15:11, NKJV)
Joy is often tied to moments—good news, celebrations, or seasons like Christmas. But Jesus speaks of a different kind of joy. He offers joy that remains. This is not a passing feeling or temporary excitement. It is a steady confidence anchored in Him.
Life does not slow down after the holidays. Responsibilities return, challenges resurface, and emotions fluctuate. Yet the joy Christ gives does not rise and fall with circumstances. It stays. It steadies the heart during trials and brings quiet strength when answers are delayed.
This joy flows from a relationship with Jesus. When we remember that we are deeply loved, fully forgiven, and securely held by Christ, joy takes root. It does not require perfect days or flawless faith. It grows through daily connection—time in His Word, honest prayer, gratitude in small moments, and trust in uncertain ones.
As you move forward, choose to remain close to Jesus. Practice joy by focusing on His presence rather than your pressure. Walk with confidence, even on ordinary days.
Real joy does not come from what is happening around you—it comes from Who is living within you.
