“Power for Every Challenge”

By Dianne Prince

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

We have all heard a child say, “I cannot do it. It is too hard.” Some of us have whispered similar words in weary moments: “I cannot do this anymore.” Life has a way of pressing against our limits. Responsibilities feel heavy. Loss reshapes our days. Unexpected trials stretch us beyond what feels manageable.

When the Apostle Paul wrote these words, he was not sitting in comfort or ease. He was under house arrest in Rome, chained to a guard, uncertain of his future. Yet his letter to the Philippians believers overflows with joy and gratitude. Paul had learned what he called the secret of contentment: whether in abundance or in need, in freedom or in confinement, Christ was his strength. His confidence was not rooted in favorable circumstances but in a faithful Savior.

Strength, then, is not found in our personal resolve or determination alone. It is discovered in our reliance on Christ. The challenges before you are not greater than the One who empowers you. What feels impossible through human effort becomes possible through the grace of Almighty God.

Step into today with quiet courage. You are not asked to carry life by yourself. God’s power flows through you. Do not measure your strength by your own ability; measure it by the One who lives within you.
