“Try Again”
By Dianne Prince
“For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again” (Proverbs 24:16, NIV).
Being knocked down is not failure—failure is refusing to get up and fight again. Giving up on your dreams after one failure is easy. Letting go of prayers because they remain unanswered is easy. Losing hope for a better future is even easier. But true faith is revealed in how you rise after a setback, recover from disappointment, and rebound from failure.
When life knocks you down, remember: it is not about how many times you fall, but how many times you rise. Success isn’t about avoiding failure; it is about having the inner drive to keep trying. It is not about winning every time, but about learning from defeat and persevering. Try starting that business again. Try applying for that dream job again. Try retaking that test. Try mending that relationship.
Rachel Hollis once said, “The hardest part of life is just having the courage to try.” Today, let this be your reminder: you only fail when you stop trying. So, every time life knocks you down, do not give up—get up and fight again. When you hit rock bottom, do not lose heart—rise, trust God to steady your steps, and move forward. Every fall is an opportunity to stand again. Keep the faith, press on, and pursue your victory.
